My belated celebration of Mabon has involved pottering round the garden gathering up little bits and bobs of veg which are ready to eat. It's not exactly been an impressive harvest this year, but I do honestly feel we've learned a lot and have some good ideas about what to do for next year ( Read more... )

I have recently become quite obsessed with getting back into minimal sewing, by which I generally mean fixing or customising closing. Overall, I think this was a weekend of good things. The old owners of the house abandoned a larger mini-greenhouse structure, with its shelves but without its plastic cover. It's a bit tatty, held together with gaffer tape but basically sturdy.
